On November 1st, the Texas-based 3DCP company SIRE3D acquired as much as 25 printers from the Dutch 3DCP hardware, software, and technology provider CyBe Construction. The deal represents the largest purchase order ever seen in the 3D concrete printing industry. With the acquisition of these 25 concrete printers, SIRE3D can now provide large-scale 3D concrete printing solutions that surpass those offered by any other company.

Putting the Printers to Work

SIRE3D is planning to put their newly acquired 3D printers to good use: they have already lined up their first project to dive into. Using the 25 printers, 15 CyBe RCs and 10 CyBe GRs, they will construct a multi-story commercial complex with unmatched speed, affordability, and sustainability. The project, named Sierra Creek, will be built in Rosamond, CA, and will consist of almost 250 different rental units. With an average square footage of 919 square feet (85m²) per unit, this venture is set to be the largest 3DCP project in the world. Leveraging the technology's capabilities to deliver cheaper, faster, and more sustainable construction, SIRE3D aims to showcase the revolutionary possibilities of 3D concrete printing with the Sierra Creek project. For the project, the groundbreaking Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) method will be used; a way of completely finishing building units off-site, to later install these modular buildings on-site. And this innovative project is just the beginning of their journey into additive manufacturing; with the experience gained from their first project and their 25 cutting-edge machines, they're ready for a future filled with large-scale real estate construction.
